To set up the Vitaero SkypeHeadset software layer and connect your wireless Bluetooth headset to Skype quickly, follow these steps: 1. Install the Vitaero Software
Run the setup.exe file from your download folder to launch the Vitaero Setup Wizard. Follow the on-screen prompts until installation finishes.
Verify that a red Vitaero icon appears in your Windows system tray. 2. Pair Your Bluetooth Headset
Turn on your Bluetooth headset and place it in pairing mode.
Double-click the red Vitaero system tray icon to open the Configuration dialog.
Click “Find my Device” if no headset is automatically detected.
Select your preferred headset from the device list to secure the link. 3. Grant Permissions in Skype Open Skype and make sure you are signed in.
A Skype security dialog box will automatically prompt you, asking for permission.
Select “Allow this program to use Skype” and click OK to authorize Vitaero. 4. Configure Audio in Skype Settings
In Windows Skype, navigate to Tools > Options > Audio Settings (or click the Gear icon -> Audio Device).
Set the Microphone and Speakers drop-down selections to your Bluetooth Audio / Vitaero bridge.
Use the built-in free test call feature to confirm your voice and audio levels are functioning perfectly.
If you run into issues where Skype blocks the app, go back to Skype’s Privacy settings, click “Manage other programs’ access to Skype”, select VITAERO.EXE, and manually change it to Allow. vitaero User Guide v1.5
